 5th Graders Give Up Their

Time To Make Blankets For Shelter Animals

Science Bowl 2013

President Wes presented a Check for $720.00 to Lisa Williams, JoAnne Johnson, and Kathryn Krieter to pay for the awards and t-shirts for the kids involved in the elementary school science bowl. These dedicated teachers have developed this program for the kids and our club has been fortunate enough to sponsor this endeavor. Our member, Chuck Gomer, is the moderator and other teachers and members of the community serve as judges. The elementary school science students, over 40 at each of our five elementary schools, work very hard to attempt to get a spot on their school’s team. Dr. Rob Voors, the Glendora School’s Superintendent, is always ready to help with this program. The science bowl will be held at Cullen School on May 8th at 3:30 pm. Visitors are welcome to attend and cheer for their team.
